The city of Bologna is beautiful with its narrow streetways and cloistered walkways. As you walk along through the cloisters, doorways open up to all sorts of little shops and businesses. The heavy wooden doors with their large knockers open up to apartments.
You can get a gelati about every 500m and so we have been having a gelati every day to try out all of the flavours. My two favourites so far have been licorice and cassata!
Cappuccino and an Italian pastry for breakfast is the go. Just as well we are doing lots of walking.
WE managed to have spaggheti bolognaise in Bologna, but here it is called “Ragu” and it was mouth watering. A really rich flavour and mostly meat.
