We have arrived in Delhi! Staying in a B and B not far from Paharganj but in a very quiet back street with a lovely little courtyard. It has been very full on since we got here. After being greeted at the airport with marigold necklaces we sat back and took in everything as we made our way through the busy streets of Delhi: school children by the hundreds out from school all in their gorgeous uniforms, cycle rickshaws going every which way, auto rickshaws barging their way through and any number of brightly coloured trucks.Sensory overload but very exciting.
We caught a cycle rickshaw to the nearby market. Mia and me sitting in the front, Ian at the back with his legs dangling down. We laughed all the way there. Got sent on a wild goose chase trying to find a computer shop so will try again tomorrow.
Walked to Paharganj last night for a meal and then had a very hot, sticky sleep. Nice and cool now early in the morning. Indian breakfast to be eaten soon!
