While in Tassie we drove down alongside the Tamar River to Georgetown and were looking for a place by the river for a cuppa. Not much luck until we found Belle’s Teahouse on Macquarie Street.
It was nearly closing time but the very friendly Belle was warm and inviting and made us feel special while she prepared our afternoon tea. And we sat at a table with an embroidered tablecloth, a vase of roses and a silver sugar bowl complete with sugar lumps and silver tongs!! Now when was the last time you had a cup of tea like that?
Look at the teapots and cups!
