Wilderness School Visit

I did the first of my Book Week School visits on Tuesday out to Wilderness School at Medindie.

A great day presenting to classes from Reception to Yr 5. Also caught up with Katie Silva and Lani Burgess and had a bit of a peek around the school and its grounds. Very nice I must say. Especially love the cafe, serving real coffee!!

I focussed on Tea and Sugar Christmas when speaking to the younger classes and then  One Step at a Time with the Yr 5 classes. The girls were interested to hear that the two girls for whom  Tea and Sugar Christmas is dedicated to, Nicci and Ali, went to Wilderness close on 30 years ago.

The girls were fascinated with the prosthetic leg, which I acquired especially for these visits. Lots of interest in it.

A very appreciative group of students and teachers all round, with some wonderful questions being asked.
