Singapore SCBWI

Last night we met David Liew from the Singapore branch of SCBWI and had a wonderful night at Bumbu Restaurant on Kandahar St near the Sultan Mosque.

David shared some of his books with us and showed us some of his other styles of art work. A very talented man. Now working with making installations and sculptures from recycled materials.

He had a million stories to share. We could have sat all night and listened and laughed but the bell tolled for home.

Food was delicious, especially the Coffee Chicken! Lip smacking. And the Gado Gado. And the Beef Rendang. And the olive rice…

And of course when told that Bugis MRT station was close by and we ‘can’t miss it’, of course we missed it! Had to double back until we finally found the entrance.
