On Wednesday night of the fair the Hello From Australia held their party and what a party it was!!
It opened to the sounds of Gregg Dreise playing the didg and then clapsticks and then he got everyone up dancing and foot shuffling. A lot of fun.
The Australian Publishing Association President Greg ? then introduced Mike Rann, who is the Australian Ambassador in Italy. He spoke eloquently, especially mentioning Adelaide Writers Week!!!
Jackie French, the Australian Children’s Laureate then spoke passionately, as she always does, about children’s books and how important they are.
Then it was party time. Lots of yummy food, champagne and good company.
