Part 2

On the Friday night of the CBCA Conference in Canberra we went to the Bob Graham Retrospective Exhibition at the Canberra Museum and Gallery. This was an outstanding look at the life and works of Bob Graham, one of my all time favourite author/illustrators. A National treasure indeed!

The photos below tell the story better than I can with words, as it was one of those exhibitions where you just walked around saying “Oh wow!” for the whole night!

On the Sunday afternoon, after the conference was finished, Sally Heinrich, Phil Cummings and I were kindly driven to the Lu Rees Archives by Belinda Gamlen and met by Dr Belle Alderman AM, the Director. Imagine our surprise when we walked in to see a display of our work and our files all out on the table!!!

P.S. I sent off a copy of Limpopo Lullaby and Glass Tears today!

And then on Monday we went to Jackie French’s garden at Araluen…which is another story.
