This week I managed to book the author Michael Wagner for a school visit during Book Week which is very exciting!
While at the Adani Dav School in Mundra in India I heard about a Pyjama Story Night which they held and I am going to organise one here for our school. It is an after school event, held in the evening, where the students come along in their pyjamas, with their mums and dads and grandparents etc and listen to stories. The photos I saw showed the children and their families reclining on gorgeous pillows and mattresses, surrounded by flickering candles, while the teachers read stories to them.
I am going to hold our school event next term when daylight saving has finished so we also can have it by candlelight. Perhaps even a few incense sticks burning for a bit of atmosphere.
