This blog comes to you from Melbourne where I have been for the CBCA Awards Presentation Event.
Tea and Sugar Christmas won an Honour Award in the Eve Pownall Category for Information Books. VERY exciting!
The event was fantastic…really well run and lots of brilliant beautiful Australian children’s books being showcased.
Later in the evening we went along to the Nan Chauncy Award which very deservedly went to Libby Gleeson. This was held in the Ballieu Library at Melbourne University and while there we were able to view the Reading Adventures Exhibition in the Noel Shaw Gallery. A fascinating exhibition of children’s adventure stories over the decades.
I now look forward to seeing an Honour sticker on Tea and Sugar Christmas!

Just heard about your CBCA Honour Award for your book. Big congratulations! And well deserved, your books are wonderful. The pics are great, first time I’ve seen Mia. So excited for you.
Cheers
