Today I attended the launch of Jude Aquilina’s new poetry collection, “Furry Tales” illustrated by Angelee Theodoros.
It was held at East Avenue Books, a quaint second hand book shop which I have never been to before, but will definitely return to another day to peruse their great collection of second hand books, all of which are in excellent condition and very reasonably priced.
Peter from East Avenue Books kept things moving along nicely and the book was launched by Louise Nicholson who told some funny tales of her own.
An exhibition of Angelee’s paintings, all of cats, is running for two more weeks.
Jude read a selection of poems from the collection and I have since read them all, my favourite being Old Cat.
My favourite line is: he bad old ankle-nipping cat when food take too long.
