Went to a fun-filled launch of Janeen Brian and Ann James’ I’m A Hungry Dinosaur last night at Peggi Williams Book Shop.
A rather animated dinosaur appeared magically from behind a book shelf and proceeded to act out the rhyming story in a hilarious pair of shoes and socks sticking out from the costume…it appeared to be none other than SA author Phil Cummings!
Ann James was on a Fly-in-Fly-out visit to Adelaide from Melbourne and worked on a gorgeous illustration of the hungry dinosaur, using, of course, chocolate icing and sprinkles, while Janeen read the rhyming story and Phil danced around doing an amazing impersonation of a dinosaur. What fun!
Everyone was them treated to the most glorious sprinkle-topped cupcakes…delish!
