“One Step at a Time” is launched in style!

On Sat Feb 21 One Step at a Time was launched, almost two years after the idea of the book being illustrated by Sally Heinrich and published through Crowdfunding, and MidnightSun Publishing!

Even though it was 38C degrees outside the Burnside Community Hall was packed with 280 people! Kids were making elephant masks and decorating their hands and turning them in to elephants.

A variety of elephant shaped biscuits were being tasted and hall decorations were admired. It was abuzz with excitement.

165 books were sold, which is on top of the books being picked up by our loyal Crowdfunding followers.

Phil Cummings spoke about how the book has managed to deal with an emotive subject with compassion, and how the text was supported by Sally’s incredible lino prints!

Next step…Bologna! Here we come!
