Mia had a wonderful surprise when we pulled up in to an Elephant Park for an elephant ride!
The three of us sat atop Akbar and went for a very short ride before rewarding him with a plate of bananas and vegetables.Apparently he is the oldest elephant in Kerala. There are very few wild ones left as their habitat is being removed and we have not seen many domesticated ones either.
Anyway it was lovely to be able to feel the warmth of an elephant and give him a pat and a tickle.
